Your BASSET Card is Yours, and You Can Get a Copy Anytime
One of the most frequently asked questions from our customers is, “How can I get another copy of my BASSET Card?” If you got your certificate from BASSET On The Fly, you can print another copy anytime by using the ILCC BASSET Card lookup feature at https://www2.illinois.gov/ilcc/Education/SitePages/BASSETCard.aspx.
This is because once you are BASSET certified with BASSET On The Fly, your certificate is YOURS. You own it. You have unlimited access to it for the full three years it is effective. Actually, you have access to it even beyond that – if you want documentation of your expired BASSET cards, we keep a record for you under your BASSET On The Fly account.
What If I Need A Copy Of My BASSET Certificate And I Don’t Have Access To A Printer?
We’ll be glad to send you a hardcopy of your temporary certificate showing you got certified for a small fee to cover our processing costs. Just login to your account and order one. Note that this is a temporary card provided by BASSET On The Fly, and is valid for 30 days from the time you completed your certificate. It is not your official, permanent BASSET card. Only ILCC can provide your official BASSET Card.
What if I’ve changed jobs? Don’t I have to get a new BASSET Card?
No, you don’t! Your BASSET Card from BASSET On The Fly is valid across the entire state of Illinois. Some jurisdictions may have additional training requirements beyond your BASSET Card, but as of July 1, 2018, all on-premise alcohol servers and those required to check IDs for alcohol service are required to have a BASSET certification.
None of this applies to me if my employer paid for the certificate, right?
Wrong! Even if your employer paid for it, once you are certified, your BASSET card is in YOUR name, and it is YOUR credential, not your employer’s. Even if you move to a different employer, a copy of the BASSET card your former employer paid for will be kept safely for you under your BASSET On The Fly account. You can take it with you to your new job.
What if I don’t remember my username and password and can’t get into my account?
No problem! Just email our customer service, and we’ll promptly help you out. Of course, you can also use the ILCC lookup feature to view and print your BASSET card at https://www2.illinois.gov/ilcc/Education/SitePages/BASSETCard.aspx.
Don’t forget, though – BASSET cards are good for three years by law, so if it’s been more than three years since you got BASSET certified, you will need a new card no matter what. You can get one at BASSET On The Fly, and you’ll have a record of all your previous BASSET cards in one place under your account.
